LAREDO - Every win may count the same, but when you beat your number one rival, the win tastes just a little bit sweeter.

Today, the Killer Bees certainly had a sweet tooth as they dropped Laredo 6-5 with a shootout win.

After a 5-5 tie at the end overtime, Daymen Rycroft, Grant Goeckner-Zoeller, and Shaun Landolt all recorded goals for RGV in the shootout session.

Meanwhile, Killer Bees goalie Andy Franck turned aside 29 shots, including four in the shootout to earn his 2nd win this season.

With the victory, the Valley's pro hockey team improves to 3-3.

The Killer Bees are back on home ice this Friday and Saturday against the Missouri Mavericks.
